Today's Entry: B-day Tomorrow (Feliz cumpleano, m'hijo)

2004-09-26 - 10:47 p.m.

No luck with the flying. But there was plenty to do with shutting down the pool, and gutting the garage (a soon to be game/rec room for the kids). The weather was an absolute marvel today. Cool breezes all day. Nathan, Elijah, and Danny(nephew) used the emptied pool bed to slide around in for hours. They also rode their scooters down the side into the water, crashing into the 8 inches of water with a splash. Those boys can keep themselves entertained with the simplest of things.

Well, tomorrow's Isaiah's birthday - no party planned till Thursday. Brenda mentioned yesterday that this past year has changed our lives more dramatically than any prior year. Isaiah probably has a lot to do with it, but I think we have also grown considerably as a couple. It has been a wonderful thing for me to finally realize I am married to my best friend. Life has not been perfect, but the peace I have now is the best I have ever known. Too bad it took me so many years to discover how to find it.
