A ONE MONTH JOURNAL Sept-2004 And now, the journal dedicated to the child singlehandedly responsible for the world's diaper toxicity crisis: Mr. "Where else would you like me to put it?" -Isaiah Today's Entry: Mars meets Venus2004-11-04 - 9:56 p.m. The Coello family was over for a visit this afternoon. While Kelsey teaches the older two girls piano, the younger two play with Elijah and Isaiah. Isaiah has taken a shine to Annelise. They're both just outgrowing parallel play mode and moving into the interactive style. Here's a picture of Isaiah trying to discretely point out to Annelise that he'd noticed an aroma emanating from her side of the room. In typical friendly fashion, he suggested she use some of his wipes for a little freshen-up. Annelise, however, was more than a little offended and immediately broke off all social interactions. Isaiah was heartbroken. He wasn't expecting a shove on the chest for his helpful suggestion on her self-improvement. And so the male mind slowly begins the painful process of recognizing that girls ain't wired the same way we are. The most clearly instructive lesson learned is that, when in doubt, it's always best to keep your unsolicited advice to yourself. Even when it is asked for, be careful, for though you might have had the best of intentions, the reception of your signal by the fair sex may not be what you intended to broadcast!
