Isaiah fell asleep on the beanbag while we were watching Stargate SG1. I can't really fault him, he is, afterall, a little young to be a dedicated sci-fi fan. But, if he grows up in this family, he'll no doubt be one someday. I don't think I could've predicted it, but enjoying a late night Stargate episode on Saturdays has become one of our family's favorite weekend traditions. We've been doing this for about three years now. In fact, the night Isaiah was born, we had just finished watching an episode from season 3 when the phone call came. This Stargate series has become the perfect entertainment experience for our family. It has a highly talented and creative team of writers which doesn't need to indulge excessive violence or sensuality to come up with a great storyline. Isn't it simply amazing that a program such as Stargate can avoid vulgarity, nudity, and endless violence and still be an award-winning sci-fi series?
